Hi Carl. I needed to know more about SEO, and here it is, your article. I’ve added Bing after I read your article. My question here is what’s the difference between fetch a google and fetch and render? and when I request indexing, do I chose one URL or multiple? What’s the difference?. I was happy to learn that internal links help with SEO and I do have internal links in some of my articles already. I will create list based contents to boost my articles ranking. Thank you for the very informative article. It’s very helpful 🙂

Hi Mona. Fetch will just give you an output of the code and the HTML while render will output a visual representation of what the Googlebot sees. So you really only need to do the fetch unless you want to see the visual representation. As far as indexing goes I will request indexing for each new post I publish and also if I do any major changes to a post. Internal links are very important as it helps the Googlebot to navigate your site easier and Google really likes that and will rank you higher because if it. I am glad you found this article useful and stop by again anytime.

Very helpful article… I’m glad I read because I forgot all about Bing SEO, while Google is the number one search engine Bing is important and reading this article made me set-up my Bing Webmaster account for my website. I personally will start focusing on improving my rankings on all Search engines, not just Google. In your experience what’s been better for you in terms of search engine ranking?

Hi Aaron and thanks for stopping by. Glad I was able to help you out with some useful information. As far a ranking in the search engines, I have found that it is easier to rank for Bing and Yahoo than Google at the moment. But Google will generate more traffic generally for your site. I do get traffic from Bing and Yahoo as well but not as much as from Google. That has been my experience with the search engines at the moment. Things may change as they update their ranking algorithms though. Hope that helps you out some. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have too, I will be happy to respond to them for you.

Hi William. Well, most people will search the Internet with Google. I think it is like 60% or more people use Google and then the rest use Bing, Yahoo and the other search engines out there. Bing/Yahoo are the second biggest search engine being used so I would definitely get ranked with them as well. They have like 30% of the market share. It will generate that much more revenue for u. Good luck and I wish u success in your online business.

What a great post brother. I like your idea on internal linking. So many skip this step and wonder why the big G doesn’t like their website. Internal linking is one of the EASIEST SEO ranking signals because it requires little-to-no energy to implement but yet it’s so powerful. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Carl,
great article! Some really good tips here, I really like the tip about writing list based content, not tried that as yet. Think I’ll give it a crack on my next post.

As for the internal linking, I can vouch for that. A little while back I was having a bit of a rank slump. I reached out and a fellow blogger told me to add internal links on my site. Couple of weeks later, many of my rankings for targeted keywords jumped up a few positions.

    Great post Carl, thanks!

I actually never considered writing a list based content but I should definitely give it a shot. I actually get %3 click-through rate and I hope that it can improve a bit. I will try this for 2 of my pages.

Hi Luna and thanks for stopping by. Yes, list posts are great for getting ranked in the SERPs. I think that Bing’s algorithm is a little more friendlier than Google. I have ranked on page 1 of both of them but I tend to rank more articles on page 1 of bing than Google. I wish you well and hope you stop by again as there will new stuff to see.

    Hi,

I’ve seen the power of list based posts myself-I’m even addicted to Listverse lol.
When I first started blogging way back when, one of my posts was a list based post which I did get the most interaction from. Back then, I had no idea about list posts, SEO or anything like that. I was blogging for fun.

Do you find that sharing on Google+ increases your readership, or does it seem to increase your followers on the G+ platform?

Hi Frank and thanks for stopping by. Yes, list posts are very powerful. As far as Google+ goes it increases my readership some and I think it helps with ranking though I cannot prove that. I just figure that it is still Google so it cannot be bad, lol. I wish u great success in your journey.
