Hello and welcome to my website. Today I have, in my opinion, The Top 5 Work From Home Jobs for you. I hope that you find this information helpful and that it will assist you on your journey to becoming your own boss.
These jobs can be accomplished by just about anyone no matter if they are disabled, hate their current job, retired, are veterans, stay home moms, students, etc. You can be a complete newbie (someone with no experience), but more on that later.
So let’s get reading!
Top 5 Work At Home Jobs
These jobs are all very lucrative and can easily replace your monthly income. If you get the right training and start from the right platform then you can be very successful with these jobs in the online world of Internet Marketing. Plus you get to be your own boss and set your own schedule. How cool is that!
These online jobs are in no particular order.
Affiliate Marketing
This is one of the ways I use to generate an income online. It is very good and a lot of fun. For an in-depth look into Affiliate Marketing, you can follow this link.
Affiliate Marketing in its most basic form is the selling of someone else’s product. It takes a lot of work and dedication to accomplish this job but the payoff is worth it.
To accomplish this job you need to create a website and get it ranked on page 1 of Google for maximum exposure. You do this by creating quality content for your website and using good SEO (Search Engine Optimization), practices.
Your website can be about anything you want. It could be a passion of yours or something you have knowledge of or a skill that you can provide, just about anything you can think of. It is called a niche and it is the theme of your website.
Next, you will use Social Media, Ad Campaigns, PPC Campaigns (Pay Per Click), Email Campaigns, etc. to drive traffic to your website. Traffic equals revenue!
Now you that you have an established website with traffic you can approach any Affiliate Company that has the products or services that you want to sell.
Once you are accepted and are now an Affiliate of the company (like Amazon), you can advertise all their products or services on your website.
When someone clicks on one of your ads they are taken to the Affiliate Company’s website where they will buy the product or service and you will get paid a commission. Sometimes these commissions are recurring monthly so you have to love those.
Commissions can run anywhere between 2% – 60% on average.
Drop Shipping
Drop Shipping from home can be a very lucrative business to get into. The start-up costs are fairly low as you do not have to carry any stock, don’t need a building or hire employees. You don’t even have to worry about shipping even though it is called Drop Shipping. How’s that you ask?
Well, this is how Drop Shipping works when you run it from home. You can follow this link for an in-depth look at Drop Shipping.
As with most online businesses you will need a website. Your website should obviously be about the product you are selling. As with any website you will need to provide quality content and use good SEO practices to it ranked in Google.
Once you have decided on a product, you will then need to find a manufacturer who can make the product and package it for you. You will provide them with your business logo and information and they will put it on the packaging. This is so that when the customer receives the package it will look like it came directly from you.
You will place about a 20% (on average) profit markup on the product and this will be your means of generating revenue for yourself. The profit margin is yours to keep.
Now you will need to promote and advertise your website and product. When someone purchases the product from you, you will, in turn, notify the manufacturer, provide the shipping information for the customer to the manufacturer and they will in turn package up the product with all your logos and info and ship it directly to the customer.
From the customer’s standpoint, they will think that the product came directly from you. This way you do not need to have any stock at your home taking up space. Cool right?
So basically you are the middle man between the Manufacturer and the Customer and the Customer thinks they are buying directly from you.
eCommerce
ECommerce is like a brick and mortar store but online instead. It is like Amazon or Walmart etc. Just a store with products for sale. For an in-depth look at eCommerce just follow this link.
You can create an eCommercre store for selling your own products or you can buy products from manufacturer’s and sell them on your online store. Obviously selling your own products will net you the most gain.
To set up an eCommerce store you will need a website. I would recommend that you use WordPress to create your website with. Most people online today use WordPress to build their websites with. You can host your site anywhere.
You can use a plugin called WooCommerce that will convert your website into a store with a shopping basket, check out, take payments, manage your products and inventory, and much more. It does this all for you so that you do not have to design and create it. Just activate it and answer the questions and it creates everything for you. Very nice!
You will promote your site via Social Media, Ad Campaigns, PPC Campaigns (Pay Per Click), Email Campaigns, etc. to get traffic to your site. As I mentioned above, traffic = revenue.
Then you just run the website the same way you would a regular store. The beauty of an online store is there is no cost for a building or a bunch of employees.
Freelancing
Being a freelancer is liberating as well. You get to set your own schedule, pick the jobs you want to do and when you want to do them. You can do this job from anywhere as long as you have a laptop and an Internet connection.
You can be a freelancer in just about anything like, tutor, Graphic Artist, Virtual Assistant, Teacher, Consulting, Data Entry, Medical Record Transcriber, basically any skill or knowledge or service that you can provide via the Internet.
You can either have your own website promoting your service or you can sign up with sites that provide job opportunities for work in your given area of expertise. Places like Freelancer, Upwork, and Topal. For a list of the top 25 freelance websites, follow this link.
Blogging
If you love writing and have a passion you want to share with the world then Blogging in for you. This job can also be done from anywhere in the world as long as you have an Internet connection. For an in-depth look at Blogging just follow this link.
To blog, you will need a website and you will fill this site with all of your quality blogs. You can blog daily or every other day but do at least 2 – 3 blogs a week. This will keep your website ranked high in Google and your readers will be able to enjoy fresh new content regularly which will keep them coming back for more.
Essentially you create a website on a specific subject that you want to talk about and you write blogs. Then you can monetize your website by becoming an Affiliate with another company and sell their products that are related to your blog for a commission.
You can also charge people to advertise their products on your site. You could affiliate yourself with a company that teaches people how to blog and sell their service for a commission. These usually are monthly recurring commissions too. You can also have ads on your site that pay you per click of the ad, regardless if they buy anything.
So blogging can be lucrative to and if you love writing then this would not even feel like a job for you. I use blogging as a source of revenue as well.

Hi Carl. This is an awesome article. It’s my dream to work from home although I still don’t know the kind of project (other than education information) I’d like to pursue. I came across the LinkedIn Profinder under “top 25 freelance websites, follow this link”. Although I’m an active LinkedIn user but never knew about it. I will subscribe to it and see the kind of projects that are listed there. I also like affiliate marketing very much but it needs lots of patience and perseverance but I’m working on it.
Thank you again for this great informative article 🙂

Hello Mona and thanks for stopping by. I am glad you liked the article. Yes working from home and setting your own schedule is awesome for sure, lol. You get to work on the things that you want to work on and when u want to work on them, it is great. AS your business grows you can outsource some work and that way have more time for yourself which is great too. Affiliate Marketing is great too as it requires zero experience to start and when you choose the right platform to learn from it is a very lucrative business to run. I am also not familiar with LinkedIn Profinder so I will check it out for sure, thanks. I wish you great success in all that you do and thanks very much for commenting.
